Snow-Valley 2/11/2007

Bill Robson and I went up to Snow Valley thinking it may snow on Sunday. It rained all morning, mostly drizzle. It was in the 40's and pretty windy. Despite the rainy conditions the snow (mostly manmade) ended up holding up and there were plenty of groomed areas and little embankments to hit and carve where most people wouldn't go near. It seems most people just stay in the middle of the runs but it's more chopped up there than anywhere else. I would have taken pictures but the camera got wet so I had to put it back in the car.

After eating lunch the sun came out and it really got nice out. Had several more runs and I thought I'd try some of the top thin trails off the beaten path. Well that was a bad idea considering these trails sometimes were about 2 feet wide. After some success I hit a section of mud and rock and tree trunked it and went down hard hitting my head. If I didn't have that helmet on I'd have been in bad shape. I just have a sore neck and a headache. Overall it was a pretty fun day though. But no pictures to show.
