One Run at Big Bear

Drove up to Big Bear yesterday for one last shot at snowboarding this season. Nobody else wanted to go and maybe that was good for them. I left too late in the day, got caught in major traffic on the 215, and even was detoured to an area I didn't know well so I took the long way around....Needless to say when I got there a little after noon the snow wasn't too great, it was a little jammed with kids. The terrain was good but the snow was sparse and not conducive to having fun flying down the hill..I took advantage of the 75 minute rule, got full credit for half day ticket and will use it next winter....I won't be going this late to local mountains any more..I'll be going next January when the snow and temperatures are at their best for southern California mountains..Until next year...
