Motorhead at HOB

I've been anticipating this show for a while. Opened by Year Long Disaster and Valient Thorr. Year Long Disaster was really good sounding, Valient Thorr left a lot to be desired. It's almost as if they need a little stronger lead singer who isn't trying so hard to be "metal". Motorhead on the otherhand was excellent. With Lemmy's raspy voice it sounded like the Motorhead I know well. Even at his age he really fires it up. With the same lead guitarist and a relatively young looking drummer I was completely impressed. Complete with a drum solo, little guitar solo, encore with one solid blues song it was a really good show overall. They played hits such as "Ace of Spades" as well as songs from their new album "Motorizer". Definitely would see them again.
