Ignite, Circle Jerks, and Pennywise Concert at the House of Blues

Tonights show was a good one. I had never heard Ignite but I had read reviews that they were a good solid band. The Circle Jerks played a great set including I an I, Coup de Tat, and others I had recognized. And of course Pennywise always puts on a great show. It was a good time and well worth the $19.99 that I paid for tickets. We missed the show last night due to it selling out and it was 21 and over. Tonights was all ages which was a bit weird. We saw a couple of parents with a kid that looked to be 5 or 6 years old. At least he had ear plugs in...

I had read reviews that Ignite was a really solid band and I was impressed.



As usual the Circle Jerks were high charged, loud, and political between and during songs. Very amusing and even though the lead singer is balding in the top of his head he still has 4 feet long dredlocks..Probably time to shave his head. Which one of these guys is in Bad Religion anyway?


I think this is the 3rd time I've seen Pennywise. Great band with a clean sound. We couldn't get tix to the 21 and over show to be there with all the bald fat older people like me so we saw all kinds of strangely dressed kids at the all ages show last night. Still a fun time despite a couple of fights breaking out.

Evan Skateboarding

Evan will be 2 in March but he's already got skateboarding down. Pretty funny..He can actually ride a little bit and do sort of a spinner...In this case he was just standing and doing spinners and not falling (he has lots of bruises from hitting his head on things trying to skateboard). Since this was my camera phone the lighting was weird and it was yellow for some reason.

My Family New Years Holiday Weekend 2006-07

The holiday's were a lot of fun this year with Riley turning three this coming 1/21/07 and Evan turning 2 on 3/6/07. Santa was a big hit and every person with a beard got called Santa for most of the holiday. Christmas lights were generally "hot" when Evan saw them and said "no touchy". Riley just laughs and loves the lights.

As most of my friends know Riley has cerebral palsy. Below is a picture of her ripping along in her walker at Balboa Park. She's getting so good in that and her speech is going so well. She's in big kid preschool for the 3 to 5 year olds starting today, Evan starts the little kid 2 to 3 year old preschool reverse mainstreaming on his 2nd birthday in March.
